Petit-Goâve, Haiti_____(TRiboLAND) Resia Augustin, une femme de 52 ans, est décédée des suites de la maladie du charbon. Le tragique événement a eu lieu ce vendredi dans la localité de Vialet, au sein de la première section communale de Petit-Goâve, près de Fort Royal.
Des agriculteurs de la localité de Vialet, dans la première section communale de Petit-Goâve, ont exprimé leur inquiétude face à l’irresponsabilité de l’État, qui selon eux, est à l’origine de la propagation de la maladie charbon. Les habitants, en contact avec TRiboLAND, rapportent que les symptômes de cette maladie chez les humains ressemblent étroitement à ceux observés chez les bovins.
Avant son décès, Mme Resia Augustin a souffert de graves symptômes, notamment des vomissements de sang, des urines teintées de sang, ainsi que des hémorragies internes, accompagnées d’un gonflement qui partait de sa tête et descendait jusqu’à ses pieds.
Les habitants, confrontés à une situation préoccupante, ignorent comment réagir face à ce dilemme. Ils lancent donc un appel au ministère de la Santé publique et de la Population (MSPP), tant au niveau local qu’au niveau central, pour qu’une campagne de vaccination et de sensibilisation soit mise en place de manière urgente. L’objectif est de prévenir de nouveaux décès dus à la maladie du charbon au sein de la communauté.
